A little more detail on my onion skin dyed shawl.

Onion Skin dyed shawl

This shawl is the result of my onion skin dyeing. The Yarn is 2ply from my own sheep and I added a vintage wooden button. There is variation in the colour of the yarn but I think it gives the shawl interest.

Spent the day dyeing wool for winter hand spinning.

 I used onion skins for one batch of dyeing and achieved some lovely soft brown shades.

From the dye pot - I've been busy dyeing for fall knitting.

 This  batch was done with acid dyes and gave me soft muted tones of pinks
